S.E.O Is the short term for  Search Engine Optimization. S.E.O began with the launching of the 1st website in 1991.

 Crawling is the process in which the search engines scans or collecting data about a websites.

    (Titles,images etc).

(!!) CACHING :-

 Caching is the process of taking snapshots of a website after collecting details.

  Indexing is the process of adding web pages into Google’s search.

Google was founded by Larry Page & Sergey Brin in 1996 while they were studying phD at Stanford University, California. It is 1 of the largest multinational technology company that includes

online advertising, search engines and softwares. In September 15, 1997 the domain name Google was registered.

Panda update brought a major change to ranking algorithm. Panda update was 1st  released in february 2011. The main objective is to bring down content farming amd to bring quality sites of

top. Content farming includes

•  content duplication also known as content plagiarism
•  Using of low quality content
•  Grammatical mistakes
•  content spinning where the contents are repeated
•  And pages with less contents.

There was an successful updation for panda in May 2014 know as Panda version 4.0 .

                                      

                                            (!!) PENGUIN UPDATE [2012]

Google’s Penguin algorithm update was launched in April 2012. Penguin update is directed against

links spamming. Link spamming is used to increase the link popularity of other sites by increasing incoming links . It contains

• - Link Exchange, where exchange of links with each other
• - Paid links, where user buys links through payment
• - Comment spamming is when links are linked in other sites comment boxes.

There was an another updation of the penguin in 2016 (Penguin 4.0), where it become real time.

                                        (!!!) HUMMINGBIRD UPDATE [2013]

Hummingbird was a significant algorithm change in Google’s search. It was introduced in september 26th . They named it Hummingbird because of its speedy & precise search results. 

It had an heavy impact semantic search or deep information about search results.

                                               (!V) PIGEON UPDATE [2014]

The Pigeon algorithm update was released in 24th July, 2014. The main objective of the update  is to increase the local list ranking in a search. Search results in  Google maps along with Google search results was also affected. Later Pigeon Update 4.0 became real time.

 Rank brain is the advanced research of Hummingbird updation. It is a machine learning based search engine algorithm. And it is an artificial intelligence system. It helps Google to process search result and provide more relevant details for user.

                                    

                                         (V!) PARK DOMAIN UPDATE [2012]

It refers to the registration of Domain name without that Domain name  getting associated with any other services  or websites. Also reserving  or parking Domain name for future updates.

                                                    (V!!) EMD UPDATE [2012]

  EMD (Exact match domain) updation is used to stop poor quality sites from ranking because they had words that match search terms in their domain names.

 It was developed to prevent sites with many copyright infringement reports, as filled through Google's DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) system, from ranking in Google's listing.

Google released a new mobile friendly ranking algorithm that aimed to giving boost to mobile friendly pages in mobile search result. This update gives priority to website that display well on smartphones,tablets and other mobile devices.
