Google Analytics is a no-charge web analytics tool offered by Google to help us to analyze our website traffic. This service is available for all who have a Google account. It offers an easy and free way to track and analyze visitors on our websites. Google Analytics is a tool that helps in turning most of the visitors to customers. In addition to providing the information of the visitors of your site, it also provides us the key insights on how your website is performing and what should we do more to meet our goals. We can track everything related to our sites like how much traffic our site has, where the most of the traffic is coming from.We can even monitor social media activities, track mobile app traffic etc.

Types of Website Traffic :-

  • (!) Organic Traffic.
  • (!!) Direct Traffic.
  • (!!!) Paid Traffic.
  • (!V) Social Media Traffic.
  • (V) Referral Traffic.

(!) Organic Traffic

organic traffic

The organic traffic is that any traffic that came on your website by searching a keyword or phrase on a search engine, then clicking on a link that reach back to our site. In order to get this type of traffic, we must optimize our website for industry and product-specific keywords that we know our  customers will be searching.

(!!) Direct Traffic

direct traffic

Direct traffic is made up of internet users who reach our website by directly inputting our URL into a browser. The only way to get more direct traffic to our website is to ensure that as many people know about our website as possible.  Place your URL on your social media sites, product packaging, business cards and anything else we can think of. In this way we will attract more direct traffic.

 (!!!) Paid Traffic

paid traffiic

Paid traffic are made up of users who enter your website through paid internet advertising. Google's AdWords is the most commonly used platform for this pay-per click campaign, but there are other platforms on Yahoo, Bing, Facebook etc.

(!V) Social Media Traffic

social media traffic

Social media traffic comes from our presence on any of the major social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc. The best social media marketing strategy is to know your audience. So reach out to our customers, study them and deliver posts that they will enjoy and interact with.

 (V) Referral Traffic

refferal traffic

Referral traffic is measured by users who reach on our website through external links clicked from other websites. By creating shareable content, we can earn lots of back-links, and therefore referral traffic back to our websites. But the links from social media websites are not considered back-links by Google, and therefore won’t affect our S.E.O rankings. This is probably the best type of traffic to earn, besides organic traffic.
